For stranded Mac print jobs

Sent it to the wrong printer? Skip the cancel and reprint.

If the job is still waiting on your Mac, Print Mover sends it to another printer already configured on your Mac. No reopening the file. No rebuilding your print settings. No Terminal.

Apple-notarized DMG for macOS 14 or later. Live queue movement is verified on macOS 26; macOS 14 and 15 validation remains. Read the beta notes and installation steps.

The wrong-printer detour

The job is still there. Print Center just will not send it somewhere else.

Normally, that means deleting the job, finding the document again, reopening the print dialog, rebuilding your settings, and printing again.

  1. 01
    Wrong printer

The job is still waiting in the queue.

  2. 02
    The usual workaround

Delete. Find the file. Reopen. Rebuild. Print again.

  3. 03
    With Print Mover

Choose the right printer and keep going.

Three simple steps

Send the waiting job where you meant to.

Print Mover works only while macOS still has the unfinished job.

01

Find the waiting job

Print Mover shows unfinished jobs still held by the local print system and calls out the ones that need attention.

02

Pick the right printer

Choose another printer already configured on your Mac and check its current status before you continue.

03

Move and print

Print Mover sends the existing job to the selected printer and reports only what the Mac print system confirms.

Local by design

It works with the job already waiting on your Mac.

Print Mover asks the local print system to send that existing job to another printer. It is not a virtual printer, a new driver, or a cloud printing service.

Print Mover does

  • Finds unfinished jobs still waiting on your Mac
  • Moves one job or all eligible jobs from a queue
  • Uses the existing job instead of creating an app-level copy
  • Checks the result before reporting success

Print Mover never

  • Read, save, or upload the document
  • Recover jobs already completed or deleted
  • Move another person’s print jobs
  • Choose a different printer without asking

A deliberately narrow tool

One very specific fix for the Mac print system.
