Rescue a job that is still on your Mac.

Print Mover can help only while the local print scheduler still reports the job as unfinished. It cannot recover a job that already completed, was deleted, or left the Mac’s active queue.

Move one job

  1. Open Print Mover from the menu bar.
  2. Choose Move… beside an unfinished job.
  3. Select another local printer and confirm Move and Print.

An available destination may begin printing immediately. Print Mover verifies the scheduler’s result before reporting the move as successful.

If a job is missing

Open macOS Print Center and confirm that the job is still active under one of the queues configured on this Mac. Completed, purged, and remote-server-only jobs are outside Print Mover’s recovery boundary.

If a destination is unavailable

Confirm that the printer appears in System Settings, is on the same local print system, and is accepting jobs. Print Mover never silently substitutes a different printer.

Export privacy-safe diagnostics

Choose Export Diagnostics… in the main window. Review the JSON file before sharing it. The export excludes job titles, document data, credentials, spool paths, and raw scheduler payloads.
